Our Pastor

Dr. Bill Wininger, pastor of The King's Way Baptist Church, is best known for his love of people and his steadfastness.

God has used Dr. Wininger greatly to reach many people in Douglasville, Georgia, since he became pastor in 1995. Under his leadership, the church now averages nearly 1,000 in attendance each Sunday. The church is also home to King's Way Christian School, one of Douglas County's oldest Christian schools.

The church has made a significant impact on our community for Christ over the years. A thriving bus ministry brings hundreds of people to church each Sunday. Our well-organized Sunday School department gives people of all ages the opportunity to learn and grow in God's Word. Our ministry supports more than 100 missionaries across the world. Additional ministries include a deaf ministry, our Sunbeam Program reaching many mentally handicapped in our community, Phoster Club and Fishermen's Club soul winning programs, Atlanta City Baptist Rescue Mission, three radio stations, and West Georgia Baptist College.

Dr. Wininger was born in Bicknell, Indiana. He and his wife, Sue, have four children--Shannon, Stephanie, Bill Jr., and Stacey. They also have seven grandchildren.
